SaloneWeather Account Deletion Instructions

SaloneWeather users may request deletion of their account and associated personal information. Account deletion is permanent and removes your saved locations, subscriptions, personal alerts, and preferences, then deactivates your account so it can no longer be used to sign in.

In-App Deletion Flow

1. Sign in to your SaloneWeather account.
2. Open the Dashboard and select Account Settings.
3. Scroll to the Delete account section at the bottom and select Delete.
4. Review the deletion notice in the confirmation dialog.
5. Confirm the request by selecting Yes, delete my account.

Identity or account ownership may need to be verified before the request is processed.

Data Affected by Deletion

When your account is deleted, the following user-owned data is removed:

• Account profile information and preferences
• Saved cities and saved locations
• Favorite locations
• Weather subscriptions
• Personal weather alerts and notification preferences
• Language and alert preferences

The following is not deleted:

• Another user's information
• Shared system configuration and system-wide weather data
• Administrative records that must legitimately remain
• Data required for security or legal purposes, where applicable

Expected Processing Time

When you delete your account from Account Settings, your personal data is erased immediately. If the platform cannot fully remove the underlying account record right away, your account is deactivated and the remaining record is fully removed by our team, usually within 7 days. You do not need to reinstall the app to request deletion — this page and the in-app flow both work without reinstalling.

Identity Verification

In-app deletion is performed from your authenticated session, so your identity is confirmed by your sign-in. If you request deletion by email because you cannot access your account, we may need to verify your identity or account ownership before processing the request.

Account Deletion Security

• A logged-in user can delete only their own account.
• Regular users cannot delete administrator accounts.
• Account deletion requires authentication and derives your identity from the secure session.
• The system does not trust a user-supplied owner ID for deletion.
• Related private records are deleted by the backend using the authenticated user ID.
